A Message to Fundamentalist Christian Conservative Racist Sexist Homophobic Murderous Bastards

There has, most definitely, been, and still IS, a problem of racism (and other ‘isms) which pervades every facet of our society. I had not realized just how much racism and hate still existed until all the publicized police shootings, and associated rallies by hate groups, such as the KKK. I am beginning to see that it is much greater than the “news media” has been portraying to us for a very long time. It is one thing for citizens to privately harbor racist (and other hateful) beliefs, and keep their opinions to themselves.   It is another thing when it affects others negatively, such as causing the deaths of innocent citizens. It is unfortunate that some people continue to hate their own brothers and sisters, BUT in order to have freedom of thought and speech for all, they must be allowed to hold whatever beliefs, even hateful ones, they choose to hold. Other than educating younger generations to be tolerant, and see all people equally, I know of no way to change the racist (and other hateful) views of those who hold them. People are simply going to believe whatever the fuck they choose to believe.

Racism in our societies institutions, however, particularly our police forces at this time, IS something that can be changed, desperately needs to change, and needs to change yesterday!

I do not personally have many specific answers, but I support equality, and I support change. There ARE people and politicians who DO have some answers. What I want to address here today, is an issue whose history and current reality I can understand, but whose ideological basis, and the blind adherence to this basis is something I simply cannot fathom. I am specifically referring to the fundamentalist Christian religion, out of which so many of our racist, sexist, and anti-LGBT conservative politicians have come, and there still remain. How can the fundamentalist Christian religion have failed so miserably at teaching the true messages of Christ, especially when the main principles of LOVE are presented in the Bible SO literally, with no room for misinterpretation? This I cannot fathom.

Must I again remind Christians of the Greatest of the laws of God, those of loving the Lord your God with all your heart and soul, and loving your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-40, Mark 12:29-31)? If you were loving your Black and LGBT brothers and sisters as though they were YOU, you could not possibly spew the hateful thoughts that self-identified, fundamentalist Christian conservative politicians have been publically vomiting on the nation. If that is not clear enough for you, how about Jesus’ command to love even your enemies (Matthew 5:43-48, Luke 6:27-36)? How much more literal and clear do you need it to be to see just how hatefully wrong your thought processes have become?! As you judge these fellow human beings, you shall equally be judged, and that judgment shall be every bit as harsh as your own judgments (Matthew 7:1-5, Luke 6:37-38). If you actually consider Blacks, LGBT folks, and others to be your enemies, then how is it loving towards them to murder them in cold blood? How can you continue to support the terrible crimes that are occurring, and actually support the murder of unarmed citizens by beatings and shootings, and the choking out of life, even in some cases where they are already confined to jail, or are offering NO resistance other than to beg for their lives? How ANY Christian could possibly think that just because the Bible (Old Testament) condemns certain things, that it is OK to lynch, beat, and otherwise murder human beings who you are commanded to love, and whose “sin” (according to those “Old” Testament scriptures) is one of those which was condemned? How does the condemnation of certain ACTS give you the “New” Testament right to execute PEOPLE, “human beings”, whose very inner nature, created By God, just happens to associate them with “sins” condemned by the Old Testament? Blacks are never condemned in the Bible, but that does not stop the supposedly “Christian” white supremacists from killing them, or supporting others, like racist police officers, to do the killing. I just don’t get how people brought up on the Bible in Christian churches can justify such beliefs and actions.  They are most definitely “sick” and in dire need of a “doctor” (Mark 2:17).

There are SO many theological reasons why this hate-filled interpretation is FULL of error and evil. I simply do not have the time, or energy to address them in detail. It is a great error to attempt to interpret MOST of the scriptures “literally” because their writers never meant for them to be taken that way at all! Jesus was a reformer. He made every attempt to CHANGE peoples’ views of the “Law” to something new, better, and more loving, and yet balance those attempts with wisdom and care not to incur the wrath of the religious authorities too much until the appointed time for his public execution by those same religious authorities! We have the same situation today, where fundamentalist Christian authorities are using “strict” interpretation to denounce certain categories of humans, and are totally ignoring the “spirit of the law” that Jesus tried his best to convey in his short lifetime.  They CLAIM to be Christians, but their “frothing at the mouth” behaviors to see human beings killed is more in line with Satanic doctrines!  They practice the exact opposite of what they preach.

They are also ignoring the fact that Paul wrote about some things being sinful for one person, but not for another by using the example of meat sacrificed to idols (1 Corinthians 10:27-29).  The lesson being taught is one of Christian “freedom” which also applies to other (Old Testament) laws as well.  As the planet continues to evolve (by God’s design, and scientific support), and human spiritual understanding evolves to higher levels, the letter of the Law actually changes with the times, cultures and with societies (Oh, I’m goin’ to get a lot of flack for that one). If our civil authorities (which Jesus “clearly” stated we are to OBEY, 1 Peter 2:13-17, Matthew 22:17-21, Mark 12:14-17) have decided that Blacks are equal to Whites, and LGBT people are free to get married, women are equal to men, etc…then their decisions should have the weight of God’s authority and scripture to Christians. It is always permitted to disagree, and attempt to change our leaders’ views, but while the rulings stand, we are commanded to respect and obey them (unless they are SO obviously wrong that one has to resort to civil disobedience to keep from doing what is evil, like killing innocent people). So, you supposedly Christian conservatives…quit harming and killing anyone!!!!! Stop ALL evil wars (and they ALL are evil), fix the police system, and quit using your false religious views from harming ANY human being!

If you truly had any fricken’ idea what and who God really IS, you would instantly understand how evil and wrong your interpretations of scripture ARE!! Grow up and join the rest of enlightened humanity whose views are putting your barbaric and ancient ones to shame. It should not be this hard for you to understand that killing ANY human being is wrong, and NOT God’s plan, ever since Jesus instituted mercy, love, and forgiveness over the stark letter of the outdated Old Testament Law. Those laws were there, FOR THE TIME AND CULTURE FOR WHICH THEY WERE WRITTEN, to teach some sense of right and wrong to THAT society.  The principle of Christian freedom teaches us that once the Law is written on our hearts, there is no longer a need for the written law (that’s taught in both the Old and New Testament, Jeremiah 31:31-34, Hebrews 10:14-18), and the NEW law is the law of Love, not murder.

How much more plainly and literally could the scriptures, and my post, be? STOP YOUR EVIL HATRED OF HUMANS! Give it up! It violates the will of God, and you are guilty of SIN. You are the ones that need to learn your lessons in Spirituality and Godliness, because the progressive Christian elements have got it right, and are trying to show you the way. But you, just like the ancient Jews, are stubborn and stiff-necked, and will probably take your hate with you to your graves. It is a good thing that your idea of hell is a fairy tale, concocted by “political humans” to control the masses by fear, and was never taught by God. Otherwise, if I still believed the lies, I would tell you all to go to hell! But I say this with love for you (believe it, or not), and the hope that, in your lifetime, you will come to know the great love of your Father. Once that happens, all hatred of others will become the most repugnant thing to you, and you will realize your error, and join with all the Christians who have continued to grow, evolve, and progress towards the perfection taught by Paul the Apostle (Philippians 1:6). You will leave your “Dark Ages” mentality, and join the human society of the 21st century.

This all gives a clear example of the relationship between conservative and reactionary thinking. Stop holding on to the violent PAST. The new age of Aquarian Peace and Unity is dawning upon us. Open your eyes and ears to its light and music!!!

Very Interesting and Long Discussion I Found

This Blog Post details and discusses one aspect of the  lunacy, and outright stupidity that many “Christian” churches are espousing and encouraging.  Jesus told us to love all people, even our enemies, yet some pastors are even urging hate towards LGBT people and shunning them from Christian society.  Jesus welcomed all people and did not turn any away (except the dealers selling in the temple, but I am sure he would have accepted any of them at his public gatherings – minus the selling, IMO).  This is the kind of divisive thinking that is driving many loving people away from organized and institutionalized religion in America.

Cats at the shelter are stressed, don’t eat right, and may have come from abusive homes.  But just get them into a safe, calm, loving environment, and they perk up, and plump up just fine.  See what a little love (and good food) can do?!

It’s Monday Again…Read With Caution!

(NOTE: Random cat pic has nothing to do with the content of this post.  It is here for the sole (or soul) purpose of attracting your attention).

I don’t have any specific reason for hating Mondays, other than always feeling extra tired and crappy. Haven’t ever figured out why. Maybe always relaxing and taking it easy on weekends produces some “withdrawal” effect or something.

After having accounts on a few dating sites now for about 10-15 years or so, and never getting anywhere I want to go with them, I decided to cancel my accounts. I go through this cycle quite regularly (except for the cancelling part). I send out a bunch of messages to ladies who I think might have some slight interest in getting to know me (let’s say a batch of about 40). I usually get a small number of responses back. At least one or two are from respectful and considerate women informing me that they are indeed NOT in the slightest interested in knowing more about me. I may message back and forth a few times with one or three who suddenly are never to be heard from again. Out of the final one or two, I actually manage to take them out on a “date”…well, at least a “meet and greet”. You know what comes next – at least one of them is a no-match, either from her side or from mine.

If there is anyone left at this point, then I usually get to date her several more times before that final potential relationship goes “south”. At this point, I may decide to give it another go, and send out more messages (it feels too much like applying for a job). By the end of that round I am sure to be disgusted with the whole thing, and crawl back into “Merlin’s” man-cave to spend any number of months practicing the art of living a Hermit’s existence, until loneliness catches up to me and I do it all over again.

So in 10-15 years of sporadic online dating, I have found a couple of acquaintances, but no lasting relationships. Thus, this time I have decided to just give up on the online dating scene (for awhile anyway), as it seems to be working oh, so WELL for me so far. There has to be something better!

So I cancel my OKCupid account, and I surf over to my Plenty Of Fish (POF) account to do the same there, and what do you know….ya, you guessed it – I have a message waiting for me. OK, I do not have a high expectation for this prospect, but I would be remiss if I did not at least check this one out. So far, she does not really “seem” like the type of person who would make a good long-term partner for me, but let’s just keep an open mind to it. All will become evident with time. In one day, we went from messaging to talking on the phone – that is a good sign. I predict that we will meet in person this week sometime. From there, it is anyone’s guess. Who knows, I might actually get “lucky” this time.

So far I have not said anything about all the other incidental frustrations and problems with online dating sites (at least the free ones). There are more than a few men and women simply looking for a hand-out. I understand that our society has made it very difficult for so many people to simply meet their own survival needs, much less thrive as human beings. It does not surprise me at all that there would be so many who are trying to get a little (or lot of) help from others. Of course, some of these people ARE actually just lazy, and want someone to take care of them just like their parents did in the years prior to them getting “booted” out the door by those same disgruntled and thoroughly disgusted parents. Then there are the outright scams to separate the weak and trusting from their hard-earned money. There are all the women from “Ghana”, and the men in the “military” preying on anyone who will listen (these are two of the most common scams I have experienced, or heard women tell about – it does NOT mean that every lady from Ghana, or every military man is a scammer).

Then there are all those just looking for a good time. To tell the truth, most people are ultimately looking for sex, but on one hand are the players of both sexes, and on the other are those who want a sex partner, but who want it to last much longer than just a night or two. There are a small smattering of folks who actually only want a friend (platonic) or a pen pal. The problem with the players is that they never identify themselves up front, it is only after they get what they came for, and vanish into the sunset, that you find out the truth. So, you just have to take your chances. Then there are those who only want to sext, have phone or cyber sex, or just want to trade nudie pics.

So, the whole free dating site scene is not that conducive to finding long-term stable relationship partners unless you are willing to put in the time and effort to weed through the players, scams, and non-matches to get to the rare match. Some are willing to do that, but the level of physical energy I have to put into it is not that great, and we have not yet considered the cost of gas, food, and entertainment that dating requires (I am pretty short on that as well). It is perfectly OK for some people, but just is not working to my advantage.

So I think I will concentrate more on my blog, my health, and my spiritual life, and hope that there is someone left out there for me, and that God will bring us together.

All – in -all, seems like a typical grouchy Monday. Hey, it can only get better from here!

Alright, I Cry, OK?

I am a man of the 21st century, and of the Aquarian age. So, what, you ask?  So….I am one of the emotionally available men who sometimes cries at movies. Well, a lot of the time…OK, dammit, most of the time. There, are you happy, you got me to publically admit that I bawl like a freakin’ baby!

In this screwed-up society we live in, it is frowned upon and considered a weakness in men for them to express their emotions unless it is a “manly” emotion such as anger. Violence is built in to the fabric of our society. Although, in my lifetime I have thankfully seen many of the idiotic ways of society begin to change for the better, there is still so very far to go. The emotional availability which allows a man to cry at movies (or anytime) is actually a strength, not a weakness. Many of us were taught as children that men should not show their emotions in public, or ever.  I am afraid that an inability to share their feelings and emotions has damaged more than a few marriages.

Unfortunately, many men, and some women, still have the emotional IQ of a peanut!

When I cry at movies, it is NOT usually the tragic parts that get to me. I cry when I see great beauty expressed on film. That beauty can come in many forms like nobility, honor, extreme vulnerability, or yes, even sadness. I will discuss a few of the movies that really do it for me.

First, “Tears of the Sun”, where Lt. A.K. Waters (Bruce Willis), at the end of the movie, is being thanked by a Nigerian woman for ignoring his orders, and instead saves a group of civilian people from “ethnic cleansing”, including the young king who is the true heir to the role being stolen by political power-seekers. The beauty of choosing right over wrong, at extreme personal cost, is something that makes my heart cheer for joy, and my eyes melt like the wicked witch in the “Wizard of Oz” (another movie which also makes me cry).

Then there is the movie, “Meet Joe Black” (spoiler alert!). Bill Parrish (Anthony Hopkins), a rich and successful businessman, finds that he is going to die at the end of his 65th birthday party, and he is thinking about what his life, friends, and family have meant to him. Unlike many of the greedy and self-absorbed rich bastards, he has held on to his high standard, and kept his great honor. Towards the end of the movie, his daughter, excellently played by Claire Forlani, realizes that she is about to lose her father forever. Even though nothing about death is ever said between them, the daughter gives her father an incredibly fond farewell. The beauty of the immense love and respect between father and daughter is so compelling and heartwrenching that any sensitive person will be brought to tears.

And who can NOT cry during the magnificent “The Lord of the Rings” movies. The first movie, ” The Fellowship of the Ring”, where Sam risks drowning rather than being separated from his Frodo, and gives a little speech about not being forced to abandon Frodo after giving his word to watch over him and stay by his side, exhibits the beauty of loyalty and friendship. This is just one of several places in the trilogy of movies where I break down, and can no longer hold back the torrent of emotional tears.

The best place comes at the end of “The Return of the King”. The beauty of humility meets the beauty of personal courage and sacrifice in a combination which tears my heart wide open. It is the point at which Aragorn, the newly crowned king, humbles himself to bow down to the courage, honor, and self-sacrifice of the common little Hobbits, which makes all the difference in the horrendous fight between….?……you guessed it, good and evil, again, always. I can’t even write about this part without crying, which is currently wetting my keyboard.

Yes, it is the beauty of nobility, honor, sacrifice, and love which bring me to tears in very many movies. If anyone wants to brand me as being weak because of that, well fuck’em. At least I am capable of expressing MY feelings, and I am not emotionally repressed or unavailable. So there you have it, my confession of the day.

A Most Enlightening Book

One of the most influential, inspiring, and enlightening books I have ever read is “The Cloud Upon the Sanctuary”, written by Karl Von Eckhartshausen (1752-1803).  He was a Christian and a mystic, and as such was totally and completely dedicated to our Lord Jesus Christ, which is self-evident in his writings. I present this here in hopes that as many people will read it as possible.  Reading it filled my heart with love, and filled my eyes with tears at the beauty presented in its pages.  The information given therein is invaluable to anyone desiring to consciously become One with Christ, and God the Father.  I have never found, in my own opinion and experience, any person more dedicated to Christ, nor any book more inspirational, save the Bible itself.

A second reason for writing this post, and recommending this book without hesitation, is to bring truth to the great lies which have been perpetuated regarding the “occult” Wisdom.  Karl Von Eckhartshausen was thoroughly trained in the arcane arts, the esoteric, the oral tradition, otherwise known as the “occult”.  If any of you have any doubts as to the character of such training and teachings, which have many times been called “evil” by political and fundamentalist church authorities, I am certain that this book will convince you otherwise.  If such a pure and wise Christian as Karl Von Eckhartshausen was completely familiar with occult teachings, then there cannot possibly be any evil in it!  Many of the mystical Catholic Saints were also totally familiar with the esoteric interpretation of the scriptures, and certainly none of you would call any of them “evil” (I hope).  At times in history, especially during the Renaissance, occult works were required reading among the Christian royalty, the wealthy, the accomplished, and the intellectuals.  It has fallen in and out of favor at the whims of society’s political leadership out of fear that a learned population would understand true freedom in Christ, and become a problem for them to manage according to their greedy and power-lusting purposes.

I hope some of you will at least skim portions of this book, which is freely available (for free) from several sites, and can also be cheaply purchased from Amazon.com.  I bet that if you do, most of you, like me, will end up reading the entire book, which is a set of letters written to the church, and is a very short, but truly enlightening, work.

Peace and Blessings to all of you!

Mark

Unity

This is exactly how I feel about all humanity, not just Christians. This post is written from a Christian perspective, but the same idea can also be extended to bridge the gap between religions, if people are open-minded and loving enough to accept the idea.

Christian INTP

How do Christians come together in unity? This is probably one of those questions that has vexed many over the ages. How is it possible to show Jesus to the rest of the world when we have a hard time loving other Christians (John 13:35)?
It seems there are at least 200 official, distinct, denominations in North America alone with worldwide estimates of various sects being around 33,000. Many of these seem to be in existence because of issues arising from how one group sees some passages versus the other. However, this isn’t just about the traditional congregations that we all know. As I’ve continued my journey, I see many Christians outside of the institutions are just as divided as those inside. I’m not speaking to being united within a congregation alone but with all Christians that profess love for Jesus.
Now, there are those that would seek to promote their view over…
